Snoozing Beauty

Once upon a time,  a king and queen had a baby daughter. They invited everyone to the party to celebrate, expect realized they didn’t have enough plates, and being the oh so smart people that they were, decided to uninvite the most powerful fairy. This fairy was so insulted, having been ready to celebrate the baby, only to be scorned at the last minute, that she came anyway. Instead of bearing the gift she made, she brought a curse upon them instead. At her sixteenth birthday, the baby would get stabbed with a needle, never to awake. The king and queen grew scared and sent the baby to live under the protection of the other fairies.

Fast forward a sixteen years, the girl does not know she was a princess. Because apparently that’s a great plan. The fairies decide to tell her after she turns sixteen and gets thrown into the terrible world of politics. One day, she’s in the woods and a prince of a neighboring kingdom hears her singing. He immediately falls in what he thinks is love. This random person must be his wife. Up he comes to the unsuspecting woman and starts to sing with her. She tries to run away because the fairies taught her well the concept of stranger-danger. But he grabs her and says that they are meant to be together. Getting really creeped out, the girl tries to leave again, but the prince asks her out. She, not knowing how to say no, agrees.
