What are Chad Reed and Justin Bogle’s plans for 2016?

After he announced the end of TwoTwo Motorsports early this summer, many of us immediately began wondering who he woukld be racing for in 2016. though he hasn’t been takingpart in any of the recent pro races, he has stayed active on social media and made it clear that he will be taking part in 2016 Monster Energy Supercross. in recent weeks he revealed that he has been riding and practicing on a 2016 Yamaha yz450f, but hasn’tmentioned anything about the teamhe will be racing for, other than Discount Tire and Monster Energy will remain personal title sponsors.

Likewise, Justin Bogle’s contract with Geico Honda ended this year, and missing most of the Motocross series due to an injury at Round 1, Honda elected not to extend his contract. Though he has still been practicing on his Geico Honda crf450r, he has yet to make an announcement about who he will race for in his rookie season in the 450 class.

While most of us are expecting Reed to make his debut at the Monster Energy cup on Oct. 16, on a Yamaha bike, noone knows what rig he will be pitting out of. Steve Matthes, host of PulpMX radio show, has given listers reason to believe Yamaha will revive their factory 450 team with Monster Energy as the title sponsor and Chad Reed AND Justin Bogle to contend the 2016 season aboard the new yz450f. Matthes also mentioned that Lars Lindstrom, Chad’s longtime mechanic would be joining him on this team.

While neither of the riders nor anyone at yamaha has confirmed anything yet, it is likely there will be a new  team in the pits this year. With both Reed and Bogle both winning races last year and being former series champions, this has a chance to be a Powerhouse team right off the bat. With JGR Yamaha’s Justin Barcia being blazing fast over the past few months, Yamaha is making a strong effort to put blue bikes on the top step of the podium this year.
