I am from King George, Virginia. Here, the biggest social events are Fall Festival– where citizens get together to watch a parade and then celebrate with local vendors at the high school, waiting for the pageant to start– and whatever new store is opening– when we got a Walmart, the high school band performed at the grand opening; that is how excited people were to get a franchise. However small and strange my town may be, I love my little rural town home.
